Founded in 1896, the humane society of huron valley (hshv) is the only shelter in washtenaw county and serves over 14,000 people and their animals every year.

In april 2024 alone, our efforts led to supporting 798 animals through pet food pantries, 29 vouchers redeemed, and 135 vaccines administered, including 112 at our own monthly vaccine and wellness clinic.
